Happy Day!!

Happy Day or even better... Happy weekend! And where have I been?


Matthew is coming home for the weekend, and I can't wait to see that boy of mine!! And oh yeah he is bringing a girlfriend to meet us. lol Yep, I have to share my very short weekend with my son... with a girl! What??

Since I bought their plane tickets last month I have been over the moon for this weekend!! They can't fly in fast enough tomorrow. Happy Day!!!

Where have I been? has been the question in my e-mails. I have been here, and just busy with life, and really nothing to blog about. I know hard to believe I have nothing to say.

So I have been trying to update on facebook a little bit, but that still isn't much. So anyways, find me over at Facebook, and I will try and keep in touch over there more often. Or Twitter me.

I am blogged out for the moment. And I will post on facebook, if I blogged something of importance. lol

Great Weekend!

We had the B.E.S.T weekend! Started off with going out with some friends. Had a great time with them.


Then Saturday afternoon we went to see the Michael Jackson "This Is It" movie.

I use to love to dance to his songs in high school, in the 80's when he wasn't.... as weird. So I kinda wanted to see this movie. I am so glad I did. So very cool.





What was so cool, was how the whole thing got put together. It showed all the footage getting ready for a big production concert. This could of been any singers "behind the scenes" footage.

And it was nice to listen to all the good, old Michael Jackson songs, remixed a bit. And new and better dancing. Good stuff - go see it.



Then Saturday evening Matt and I went to a dance clubs Halloween Party. FUN, FUN, FUN!!! We got dressed up, went out to dinner and danced the night away. They played great music - late 70's all the 80's, some 90's. We will be back there again!

which I quote: "If you consider that there has been an average of
160,000 troops in the Iraq theater of operations during the past 22
months, and a total of 2112 deaths, that gives a firearm death rate
of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.

The firearm death rate in Washington , DC is 80.6 per 100,000 for
the same period. That means you are about 33 percent more likely to
be shot and killed in the US capital, which has some of the
strictest gun control laws in the US, than you are in Iraq .

Conclusion: "The US should pull out of Washington, DC .."

Brad Paisley Concert

Last Saturday night Matt and I went to a GREAT Country concert!! Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley and Jimmy Wayne!! All three of them were so good!! The entire night was a blast!!

So here are a few photos I took.

The concert was outside - and before the three headliners, they had a smaller stage with some up and coming singers - Sarah Buxton - she was very good! And a couple of others. Anyways they also had a ton of food and drink booths, booths selling t-shirts, and cowboy hats, etc. Then there was the Direct TV booth that had the Rock Band game going. And of course it was the Country Music game... the one we just bought and have been playing. So we watch and then no one is playing so Matt grabs the guitar and I grab the drums and we started playing. Then a cute couple about mid 20's show up, and she wants to sing and the other guy grabs the other guitar, we are all playing and a crowd gathers. So fun. We play a couple songs then we want to leave, the other couple leaves, But there is a guy who wants to sing, and no players. So we stay and play for him so he can sing. That happens another time or two. lol Then a little boy behind me wants to play, so I get up and let him play. And Matt asks if anyone else wants to play., nope just watch. So Matt plays with this boy. Then a lady walks up she wants to play the other guitar with Matt, and she mentions she will put her guitar on the Hard level. So we are all ok, whatever. That lady Rocks it!! WOW she can play. We find out she works for the radio station that is putting the concert on. Nice lady. Fun time. So I grabbed this picture of Matt real quick when he and the boy was playing.


Us in our seats getting ready for the concert. We check out the one take picture and think - good photo. And get home and upload it and... check out the guy behind us yawning so big! LOL

Fun night - If you like country - then you have to see any of these guys when they come to your area. So good!!

We have enjoyed the redneck jokes for years. It's time to take a reflective look at the core beliefs of a culture that values home, family, country and God. If I had to stand before a dozen terrorists who threaten my life, I'd choose a half dozen or so rednecks to back me up. Tire irons, squirrel guns and grit -- that's what rednecks are made of.
